Zero Trust Architecture as an Enabler
Instructor: Sami Laiho
Duration: 2 days - February 2-3, 2026
A few years ago, Microsoft said BYOD is the way to go. Now the Bring Your Own Disaster model has been thrown in the background and the word for today is Zero Trust!
Now the word Zero Trust must be the worst name in the history of IT. It has this really negative tone and sounds like things are taken away from a user or that from now on everything will be as difficult even in the "internal" network as it only used to be when in an "external" network.
Zero Trust should be called "Work the same wherever you are". It's not just a radio button to flip but a journey towards an experience of working the same way with the same level of security - whether you are at the corporate office or in Starbucks.
The age of internal networks and network segments are over, and the trust has to be based on identities of devices and users, instead of IP addresses.
Let's design Zero Trust to be an Enabler not a Disabler!
In this 2-day-training one of the world's leading security experts, Sami Laiho, will show you what Zero Trust means and how to deploy it in different sized environments!
In this session you will learn about:
- authenticating all communications
- treating all networks as insecure
- using principle of least privilege
- allow-listing applications
- monitoring all activity
